The first 'real' story I wrote was called The Odd One Out when I was ten. My teacher liked it so I was right royally chuffed. I don't remember much about it now other than the enjoyment of standing up and reading it to my class.

I briefly flirted with the idea of journalism before settling on graphic design and then slowly in my work life drifting back to the art of words as an advertising copywriter. Ah, nothing like dem wordy words.

I've written a number of 'aborted' stories over the years including - The Bed & Breakfast and Dr Psalt's History of Remedy. But my first completed story (that I let anyone read) was called Sweet Dreams, The Brief History of The Dream Chair. That's now been completely rewritten and has become just plain ole The Dream Chair.

Next came 100 Ways To Improve The World which took nearly five years to write when my children were young. It was published by Impress Books in 2006. The Price of Everything was written during 2006 and 2007 and will be published in June. And currently I'm working on Legacy, a fictional biography of artist Wallace Slade... have a look, he's even painted some pictures for the book.

Here's an author interview I did for amazon in 2007, might give you a few insights (then again, it might not). Then again you might not care.
